There is no place on earth quite like the Australian outback. Whilst many people travel to Alice Springs and Uluru, there is so much more just over the horizon in the remoter regions. Every winter Andrew’s company Diamantina operate expeditions into the real outback, including crossings of the Simpson Desert from north to south, travelling the Canning Stock Route, the longest most remote stock route in the world, and following the paths of the early explorers like Burke and Wills. Participants travel in Diamantina’s desert equipped four wheel drives, or tagalong in their own or hired vehicles. They sleep out under a million stars in comfortable swags with fitted sheets pillows and doonas, and enjoy fabulous meals, the menu designed by Andrew of course. There are each year a limited number of seats available on these extraordinary trips.
